Crawling!!!

So Lucas has entered a stage in his life that I have been somewhat dreading. He is crawling. He went from trying so hard to being able to crawl all the way across the room while Mommy wasn't looking in two days. Crazy. Apparently it is one of those things that once you figure it out...you run with it!!

It has been so much fun to see him progress. And now that he is doing it is do much fun to see how happy he is that he can move around. Although, now I need to baby proof my house. He has already learned that he can pull each DVD out one by one off of the shelf. I guess that means I need to move them higher :)

Wish me luck as we try to survive the mobility :)

Corporate Challenge

John and the company he is working for are participating in the Corporate Challenge. Basically, it is a competition that companies of similar sizes compete against each other in a variety of events. The events are anything from things like Soccer, Basketball, softball, etc to things like archery, chess, range shooting. They even have events like the "Biggest Loser" and a walk race. It just started a couple of weeks ago and it has been so much fun to watch. It is really cool because John is gaining friendships with the people he works with.

John so far has competed in two events. Last weekend he competed in the Raquetball singles competition. He did great and took home the Silver. It was a very long day...I think he had 5 games over like a 4 hour period. Well, all this week they competed in the Softball competition. They made it all the way to the championship round and then lost. So they took home the silver. It was so much fun though watching everyone have such a great time. There was laughing and joking around. Here are a couple of pictures from the championship game.

We have been taking Lucas to all of the games and he seems to make friends at each game. The little girl is a guy John works with daughter Bella. She absolutely loves Lucas. Every single game that we go to she runs up to Lucas and gives him a little kiss on the head and then says Hi to him. The boy in the other picture is the son of another guy who John works with. He and Lucas played Pick-a-boo the entire game and they were both just laughing....It was so much fun to watch.

Lucas is also trying so hard to crawl. He gets up on all fours and then moves backwards. He's stuck in reverse. He hasn't quite figured out how to move forward yet. But I have a feeling that with in the next week or so I am going to have a very mobile baby on my hands. I don't know what I am going to do at that point.
